In Chrome once I view my page the https in the URL has a red slash through it. When I click it, it says:

Your connection to www.example.com is encrypted with 256-little bit encryption. However, this web page includes various other resources which are not secure. ...

You are watching: What does it mean when https is crossed out

I am not gaining the combined content warning in IE or FF.

Is tbelow a way to acquire Chrome to tell you specifically what/wright here is bring about the issue?

I am having trouble finding what is leading to Chrome to throw a hissy fit. I searched my source for any http that does not contained https yet am not seeing any type of. It would be nice if tright here is a basic way to pinsuggest the worry.

If you sindicate click the lock symbol beside the struck with "https://", it will tell you what it suggests.

EDIT:

If you click on the lock symbol, it opens up an information window that tells you around the encryption type of your link to the website and also around the giver of the certificate signature. It additionally tells you when you first checked out the website.

What execute these mean points to https://assistance.google.com/chrome/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=95617, which reads:

The website uses SSL, yet Google Chrome has detected either high-threat insecure content on the page or difficulties through the site’s certificate. Don’t enter sensitive information on this page. Invalid certificate or various other major https issues could suggest that someone is attempting to tamper via your connection to the site.

In this situation, it"s existing because the (valid) certificate is for *.stackexchange.com, and soimg.org does not match. That"s a problem through the site"s certificate. It"s not a large deal; you really don"t require SSL for the majority of objectives on soimg.org, and I"m fairly confident that the civilization behind *.stackexadjust.com are the very same people behind soimg.org. In various other cases with this exact same reason, such as https://j.randomwebsite.com signing itself through the certificate offered for https://mail.google.com, the warning would indicate that somepoint fishy was going on.Other reasons for this dialog (high-danger insecure content or various problems with the site"s certificate) can also be malicious, so don"t click via or enter sensitive information without being mindful of what"s actually going on.
