I"ve been looking all over the area for a resolution to this trouble, yet the just ones I can uncover are the ones on VMWare Fusion for Macs. I"m running VMWare Workstation 7.0 on Windows 7 with an AMD CPU.

You are watching: The guest operating system is not mac os x server

I am getting this error:

"the guest operating system is not mac os x server"

I"ve run the VMWare patch. Tried rebooting and also re-running the patch.

Still no dice. Anyone have actually any type of understanding on this problem?

And what to perform to fix it on an AMD Windows 7 system running VMWare workterminal 7?

Is it also feasible to deal with this difficulty on an AMD CPU?

You have actually 3 options perhaps that I can honestly think of that might assist you as I am on an AMD also.

1. Upday Workstation 7.0 to 7.1.4 and also then rerun donk"s guest os patch

2. Find a pre-developed snow leopard that has AMD/Intel Listed. I deserve to usage 10.6.6 it"s practically 3gig in size

3. iAtkos S3 V2 also functions for me-it"s 10.6.2 yet I"ve updated it all the means to 10.6.7 making use of heritage kernel"s.

If you list even more information on your specs I"m certain someone below can possibly help you.
