Move + Meditate:
When I’m traveling, I notice I actually have an easier time meditating because 1) I have more time to meditate (usually on a bus or train) and 2) I’m usually on the go so much that when I finally get a minute to rest I can clear my mind pretty easily because I’m so tired. Now that I’m back at home, I’ve had to find new ways around quieting my mind.

For those who are new to meditating or are having a hard time meditating, you might want to think about trying to do a workout and then meditating right after. It’s been a new idea (although it turns out yogi’s have been doing this for years) that I’ve seen a lot recently and I’ve been trying it the last week and have noticed a huge difference in my meditations.

Next time you go for a run, be a little more mindful (what does the air feel like? Notice how your feet feel when they hit the ground) and leave a few moments to mediate after.

I would really suggest @insighttimer for free meditations and also trying out @kait.hurley move + meditate classes!!

Although I loved my mini road-trip, I definitely noticed my neck and shoulders were pretty unhappy yesterday after 7 hours of driving. I had great lower-back support, but I think it was a lot of stress on my shoulders.

After doing some research today, I found some tips that I’m going to try out on my next trip!
- bring ice or hot packs to use on your neck/shoulders/back while you’re driving
- adjust your headrest so it touches the middle part of the back of your head
- apparently most people keep their
- right leg a bit more forward to use the pedal, so try moving your seat an inch or two closer so that your hips are square in your seat
- keep your hands at “9 and 3” so your neck shoulder muscles can relax (this also helps if an airbag goes off)
- take breaks or switch drivers every 2 hours (takes a lot keep time but might save your back!)
- - -
Let me know if anyone tries these!!
Coming soon... stay tuned 👁
