Last night I attended an Open Mic in Langston Hughes' Harlem home. I cannot even describe what I felt as I sat in the very room where Hughes himself ignited the Harlem Renaissance. The perfect backdrop to the perfect evening of talent. From Arabic singing to spoken word, I was mind blown at the fact that IIIIIIII get to experience this. Beyond blessed to be a part of a creative circle of intellectual geniuses. Thanks to the homie @fredctv for an awesome evening and an even bigger thanks (and a million hugs and kisses) to my favorite performer (and top 5 favorite humans) @dblackbx .
Manhattans gallery scene will remain fairly quiet for the rest of August which is a perfect reason to visit Brooklyn! ➖
If you haven’t already visited Luhring Augustine’s location to view these monumental sculptures by @christopherwool

Hiya! I'm Jen, a fine art photographer passionate about helping fellow artists stand out while reconnecting them to the reasons they started their craft in the first place. It's part photography and part creative coaching, but it all comes back to loving what you do again while reaching your dream clients, customers, and audiences, and - this is important - doing all that without burning out.
I like how @aimeebayles put it: "Working with Jen is far beyond just having some photos taken & evaluating my social media. She is helping me evaluate MYSELF as an artist & taking me to a place where I am excited about being as much ME as possible. Feeling very inspired."
So - I thought I'd share two things that inspire me and I'd like to know two things that inspire you! ()
1. Classical art. I could stare at a Vermeer painting for an hour
2. Amazing food. The way chefs can translate a single ingredient from appetizer to entre to dessert is poetry, and it redefines how I think about a collection. #fridayintroductions
Turns out I’m not the only work in progress on the block 🎨
A reminder to kick some ass today 💙 What are you gonna conquer before 5 pm? I wanna cheer you on! ---------
I gotta say, one thing I love about New York is that there's never a lack of art, ever. This was my "office" at @thehighlinehotelnyc yesterday, and I was enamored by the plethora of unique and original art all over the building. It made my heart so, so happy.
