Light as a snowflake, laughters shall come by,
And suffuse the darkness, with the sun's light.
Light as a wind, they will kiss your tired eyes,
And you will sleep, once again, your heart, light.
Light the candles to love on the altar,
And pray for the one who brought you to light.
Light the love's beacon now, and hereafter,
And joy will find you again, by its light.
Light blue, shall be your sky, and calm your sea,
And all that you see, be with love's light.
Light be your burdens, and light, may you be,
And may the long nights be filled with starlight.
Light be your feet when you tread the water,
And bread be plenty and wine never light.
Light in you, shall glow forever after,
And you, my friend, are your own guiding light.
Light is in you, revel in its glory,
And blessed be your life, for it has Marie.
For D. And for Marie. You epitomise the love, as it should be. As it has been. As it shall ever be. May the Bach notes be true, as true as the love which blesses you.
A sonnet, of course, (what else, if not, when it is for the best poet ever who I have ever read? Respects and love to Marie, @whiskeyandpens and D). Please check my bio for a link to her poetry.
For prompt for using the word in multiple forms of its meaning, i have attempted to combine (and perhaps overstepped my apprentice's line) two of the oldest classical poetic devices called Anaphora (ἀναφορά) and its variant Epistrophe (ἐπιστροφή). Anaphora means 'carrying back' in Greek, and is employed in many biblical Psalms and prayers. It occurs when same word or phrase is used to begin the lines. Epistrophe is similar, meaning 'return' in Greek, and is said to occur when same words and phrases are employed to end the lines.
The title, 'lux sit', is simply the original Latin for 'let there be light', from the Book of Genesis, 1:3
