I’m down 16 pounds. Just happy seeing how FAST the weights come off in a little over 5 weeks. Lots of thanks to @mommawithmuscles ! It’s weird to look at my gym pics from a year ago and just remembering how frustrating it was to not see results. I had every excuse. Genetics, lifting too heavy, being barely 5’3, you name it.. but it was all because I was NOT consistent. I built muscle but I wasnt measuring or weighing food. My diet was a rollercoaster, mainly due to the chaos that was nursing school. Fastforward: I’m a “pre-wife”, buying and cooking whatever, completely in denial while still going to the gym, relying solely on the gym for results. Then I saw numbers on a scale along with my wedding dress no longer being able to zip.. wake up call surplus. Thank god for Adrienne and her coaching and monster energy drinks because I wouldn’t have been able to get this far alone.. Have you ever become so Overwhelmed with stress or things you have to do that you just can’t move? You think you want to start something then that gets you thinking on all the other things you could also potentially start. Before you know it your mind is down this vivacious cycle of not feeling good enough or having too much all at once and you just can’t initiate any of these thoughts.
This happened to me today. I had a project to do, an exam tomorrow, an event to go to tonight, and I just found myself sitting there stunned by all that was on my plate. I literally sat in the same place for a good 30 minutes trying to sort through my thoughts. After I finally decided which one task I wanted to focus on, I found myself feeling guilty for taking so much time to decide.
I began beating myself up for another 10 minutes before even starting anything. Just think for a second about the amount of time we could save if we were just more kind to ourselves. Instead of filling our head space with negative emotions and starting that cycle, we should be filling our head with positive emotions and allowing ourselves to breathe.
If we just take the time each day to replace one bad thought with a good one, then we can change our lives over time. We will be more efficient, more positive, and overall just happy. So I challenge you today replace one bad thought with a good one.
