And in my humblest opinion mines better than most 🙃😉😘
So how do we get there???
Well for me building up my glutes and Hamstrings was a must in order to aesthetically even everything lower body. My quads are definitely the dominant muscle so I’ve worked hard over the last year to build up, and continue to, my hamstrings/ glutes.
One exercise alone that has been supremely beneficial has been the The absolute in maximizing the stretch of the Hamstrings!
It’s created more separation and in my eyes is evident even while in a caloric surplus! (bulk)
Slow and controlled on the stretch (eccentric portion) and strong and powerful on contraction (concentric) * note most people have issues keeping their legs “straight”
Have no fear! It’s a conceptual thing and slight bend doesn’t decrease the value of the rep! Naturally you want to keep as straight as possible but slight bending is fine! -
Lastly the best thing about this exercise (especially for those you have poor hamstring development) is that as a secondary muscle the glutes and lower lumbar come into play!
Yes multiple muscles joining together to accomplish a rep! Truly a team effort!
Lastly I personally prefer these in high volume to finish a hamstring day... but don’t be afraid to get heavy, just keep in mind this exercise is designed and more beneficial when performed controlled (like most) and you’ll reap the benefits a lot more!
