Studies show that female appetite & sugar cravings increase during the luteal phase (the 2 weeks leading up to your period) which can cause women to consume more calories. This is believed to be due to the impact that the drop in estrogen levels has on dopamine & serotonin levels in your brain. This can leave you climbing the walls for the sweet stuff - which is not particularly helpful if you’re trying to lose weight! β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €

Little tip - With my fat loss clients I adjust the plan as needed each week, so for many of my them we’ll implement a diet break in the week leading up to their period, where we just focus on weight maintenance, rather than pushing for fat loss (we’ll then hit this a little harder in the weeks they feel less hungry!).

For clients where a diet break isn’t possible i.e. we’re working to a deadline, such as a contest or photoshoot prep, wedding or a holiday. Or we’ll increase cardio so we can increase food intake a little too, whilst still keeping them in a calorie deficit. WEIGHING YOURSELF MAY BE A WASTE OF TIME by @harefit_

To start i weigh myself daily and i believe by doing this it has allowed me to make this statement as i see the ups and downs of the scales within a 24 hour period

Now where i believe a lot of people are wasting their time with the scales is where they’re either jumping on them randomly throughout the week or if they are weighing themselves any other time than first thing in the morning

I get to see everyday how what i ate the day before affects my weight and sometimes this can be huge. For example when i eat a pizza πŸ•as my last meal before bed (within my macros) the following morning i know i will wake up at least 2 pounds heavier than the day before

This does not mean i’ve actually put on weight it's just the water weight from the pizza the night before
β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €
Also i have weighed myself before bed too just to see the difference between that and the morning and sometimes i will be 6 pounds heavier at night than the morning!

Simplest leg workout ever, pick a weight you can do 20 reps of squats comfortably with and do as many reps as you can in one set(stands to logic that you need to do more than 20), feel the burn, also warmup properly first.

I have a niggling back issue going on and didn't want to miss squats, so instead of going heavy, just selected my warmup weight of 135 lbs and banged out 45 reps.
