Maybe up until now you haven’t thought too much about what the animals you eat today were fed yesterday. That’s pretty common for most folks. You may have heard the terms “or “range” and “not knowing the real difference between these terms. Once you understand the vital differences between grass-fed beef and grain-fed beef, you’ll look at that burger a bit differently. Today, most of the beef you find on the grocery store shelves has been fed a grain diet. In general, these are fed corn and soy, but often there’s more on their menu than strictly grains. . . . .
Grass-fed beef nutrition leads to many benefits to your personal health. Not only is grass-fed better for your health than grain-fed, but it’s also better for the environment. Many people avoid beef and meat entirely because of environmental concerns. . .
Choosing products that are grass-fed AND organic is even better. It’s important to note that grass-fed does not equal organic, and does not equal grass-fed. It’s possible that grass-fed cows roaming the pasture consume synthetic fertilizers and herbicides used on the grass. So if you really want to get the most natural, cleanest beef possible, buying organic, grass-fed is definitely the way to go. But also note that there are some farmers who raise their cows organically and grass-fed but just can’t afford the organic certification. That’s why it’s important to research or really know the source of your meat. #beef #organic #grain #cows #grass #open
I took this picture a long while ago while on a bus on my way to do volunteer work somewhere (I think it was to help these older women bake pies to raise money for a community center). Anyways, the perfection of the day and picture was too much for me so I took it like this and it was unsettling so I decided to make it more unsettling.
So pretty much I'm sorry and I'm the worse but I strangely like how dream-like this image is. Also I just splurged oh my first professional beginner camera and I'm so excited to begin teaching myself everything and thinking about making a new insta for it.

Just recently, a cow who was being led into a transport truck destined for a Southern Poland slaughterhouse made the brave decision to escape their ill fate. The cow bolted from the truck, plowed into a metal mesh fence, and ran to nearby Lake Nyskie. The farmhands went to the lake to try to get the cow back, but the cow was having none of that and one of the employees suffered a broken arm and bruised ribs during the rescue attempt.
But this awesome escape story isn’t over yet! The cow then swam to an island in the middle of Lake Nyskie. The farmer told Wiadomosci he even saw the cow dive underwater at one point. The cow has been living on the island for three weeks now after many unsuccessful capture attempts. Anytime the farmer or firefighters would get to the island by boat, the cow would dive back into the water and swim away from them. Go, cow, go!
The brave cow has caught the attention of thousands, even local Poland politician Pawel Kukiz shared the story on Facebook and called the cow a hero. “I am not a vegetarian, but fortitude and the will to fight for this cow’s life is invaluable! Therefore, I decided to do everything to (first) cause the cow to be delivered to a safe place and in the second stage, as a reward for her attitude, give her a guarantee of a long-term retirement and natural death.” How great is that!

Regrann from @worldanimalnews - Sexual assault has come to the forefront lately in our country; in our government, in our entertainment industry, and in just about every other workplace or situation possible.-
It has just reared its ugly head in the animal advocacy movement.-
But did you know that farmed animals, fur animals, animals in fashion and in entertainment are all sexually assaulted too. Female pigs are forced to endure humans’ callous treatment to get inpregnated and birth more baby pigs just to be killed for human consumption. -
On dairy farms, female cows will often be forcibly restrained on a “rape rack” so that they can’t get away while an insemination instrument is used on them.-
This list goes on...look at poor Tilikum at who was also repeatedly used by trainers in order to collect his semen to hopefully breed female whales in captivity.-
I ask you to educate yourselves. You really should see these practices for yourselves because I cannot begin to describe the inhumanity, the barbarity, the depravity, and the disgusting violence that goes on for these animals.-
Sexual assault shouldn’t be accepted for any living being. We all want autonomy over our bodies and to be free from exploitation. -

Look who decided to come outside and play for 5min. 😂 Moose has been doing much better-incase anyone was wondering ;) he’s the top calf head there! And Frankie is the bottom one. I shoveled snow in the paddock so they could walk around. The snow goes to their knees! Luckily the snow drifts didn’t hit back there much, it’s 19inches in some spots! Now just have to cross my fingers and hope we don’t get a ton more down here! Ya ya we need it, but it can snow up in the mountains and just send on down the water later ;) lol I was raised in Oregon/WA- the farming end. We got a lot of rain in the spring, but never very much snow. It was always a miracle when we got snow for more than like a week or two. (Not complaining!) but man snow sucks. Lol come on utah get with the program!! Lol
