I would now consider myself a booty band connoisseur of sorts. Many bands can slip up and recoil while you’re trying to workout, so there are three key features I look for in exercise bands. .
First is grip, you need to have a band material that doesn’t slip up your legs. Second is thickness/width, the band should be thick enough in width that it doesn’t twist or fold otherwise it can feel like string tied around your legs while you’re working out. Last, you need to have a strong enough resistance so your muscles are engaged when you kick, push, thrust, pull etc.

I found that @belusactive bands, depicted in my workout photos from yesterday, met my list of criteria. I had a great workout with these bands! .

TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY:
Let's talk about it...Yes both pics are me. The pic on the left was a time when I was extremely stressed, emotionally eating not on my birth control while battling fibroids and ovarian cysts. Which means my harmones were out of whack. For those of you who don't know, I was prescribed birth control pills not because I was having sex, but to help shrink my fibroids and control the amount pain and flow that I have during my cycle. Let's be honest. It's not a good look. .

👉Now on the right is just a couple of days ago. Can I tell you how PROUD I am of my Transformation! A sister has been working hard. I feel good and I look good. Over the last month or so I took being on my Herbalife products, working out, removing the negative and surrounding myself with positive to another level. I was determined to get disrespectful results and I did just that. The best part is I lost -6 lbs in 1 week while being on my birth control. HELLO! Can somebody give me an AMEN, HALLELUJAH & PRAISE THE LORD! 🙏🏾 The way my body was set up in the past it would usually took me 2 -3 months to lose 3 lbs and keep it off. .

So to everyone who thinks that I have always been fit & fine, yes I have always been fine, but not always fit, lol. 😂😂😂

Here's my message of the day: Stop training for #sexy.

Firstly, you’re already sexy. 
Secondly, we’re conditioned to think that fitness is all about looking good, when it really should be about feeling good, and performing better.
I wouldn’t say I have anything against it, and for the record there is nothing wrong with wanting to look good; but it pains me to see so many people busting their asses in the gym with the sole purpose of looking the way society has told them to look. Their workouts are focused almost entirely on isolation movements targeting each individual muscle group in the upper body (often neglecting  #legs), so that when #beach season rolls around they can bury their lower body in the sand and look great in the sun drying their hair off with a towel. Swoon!
But what happens when that zombie apocalypse arrives? Are you going to rely on all those leg extensions to escape the terrorizing grasp of the living dead?

I personally made a mental switch just over a year ago when I realized that although I looked pretty decent without a top on, I couldn’t imagine what I’d do if I had to actually use my #fitness outside the gym in the real world. 
So, I ditched the traditional style of #bodybuilding, and instead began to focus on my #strength, #cardio, and overall body condition.
#CircuitTraining became a huge part of my routines; crawling on the floor, throwing weighted balls, swinging kettlebells, wood chopping, sprinting up hills, and hanging on monkey bars were all a part of it. 
Instead of isolating my muscles, I narrowed my weightlifting down to the 5 compound lifts: #deadlift, #squat, #benchpress, #bentoverrow, and #overheadpress. These worked all major #muscle groups equally, and my prime goal with these became to simply pick heavy sh!t up.

I can honestly say I am the fittest I have ever been in my life and as a bonus, despite it not being a primary goal, I look the best I have ever looked.

Remember, confidence is sexy. If you walk down the street knowing that you’d stand a pretty good chance at surviving that upcoming zombie apocalypse, you should feel pretty damn confident.
